quested to convey the greetings of His Excellency the Mar-

quis de Estella, Governor General of the Philippines to His

Excellency the Governor of Hong-Kong and to the Hon. Colo-

nial Secretary, also to state that he highly appreciates the

assistance he has received from His Excellency Sir Willian

Robinson and the Hon. J. H. Stewart Lockhart during the troubles

in the Philippines, and that he intends to bring their kind

services to the notice of the Spanish Government.
